We do not encounter alligators on our Lake Tours in Orlando. We bring many families, children and dogs on our paddle sessions so we choose lakes that are not populated with alligators. We DO encounter alligators on our springs adventures. Alligators would prefer not to interact with humans and it's our experience that they move away from us. Our guides are very experienced at spotting wildlife and put themselves between an alligator and guest when we are lucky enough to see one.
Yes! Most of the time, children as young as 5 or 6 can paddle by themselves if they have the desire to try it If your child is not ready to try paddling on their own, we provide boards that are big enough for 2 people to ride together. Children under 6 are required by law to wear their life vests. We love getting families out on the water together!
We carefully monitor weather conditions before our paddle sessions. We make every attempt to get on the water and most times we will "call it from the field". If we are not able to get out because of high winds or storms, we will postpone the event. In the case of out of town travellers, we will issue a refund.
If you are between the ages of 3 and 77 and weigh between 30 and 1100 lbs we have a perfect paddleboard for you. We are proud that we can accommodate all ages and abilities with our super stable boards. Our instructors have a wonderful way of teaching that has people feeling safe and secure in no time.
You can wear work out attire or a bathing suit. If it's a bit chilly you can bring a sweatshirt or hoodie. Most people do not fall off unless they want to go for a swim. Bring a change of clothing in case you get a bit wet.
Not everyone is ready to try paddleboarding and you are welcome to request a kayak. We love taking people on the water with us.
