Guardian Guides Manatee Stewardship Program
We are proud to have joined the Save the Manatee Club’s Guardian Guides Manatee Stewardship Program, which now includes paddle tours statewide! Epic Paddle Adventures educates our tour guests on how to passively observe manatees from a stand up paddleboard or kayak and also participates in waterway cleanup events throughout the year. In fact, we are hosting a Lake Clean Up on Lake Ivanhoe, this Saturday, with proceeds going to the Save the Manatee Club’s Manatee Adoption Program. In addition, Epic Paddle Adventures has Manatee Tours every day!
Information on the upcoming Waterway Clean Up event:
Saturday November 20th 9:00am to 11:30am. This is going to be EPIC! Support manatee conservation and participate in a Lake Clean-Up on beautiful Lake Ivanhoe. **Ticket Price includes paddleboard or kayak, all safety equipment, bin, gloves, trash grabber and a lesson if needed. **Family and Beginner Friendly. **Proceeds from Ticket Prices will go directly to the Save the Manatee Club to support their efforts to preserve the habitat and health of Manatees. **Every participant will be entered into a drawing to win a Blue Spring Paddle Adventure for 4 people. Blue Spring is the winter home to hundreds of manatees starting in mid-November. We will be touring Blue Spring all winter long! We are proud to be certified Guardian Guides through the Save the Manatee Club. Part of our stewardship for this amazing organization is fundraising and environmental clean-ups. We’re excited to gather on the beautiful shore of our home lake for this clean up.
**BYOB’s can register for a donation ahead of time or you can bring your donation to the event. Suggested donation is $35 and covers the cost of an adoption. But you can donate whatever amount your budget allows. **We will be having a manatee themed land yoga session by the lake at 8:00 am before the clean up so bring your mat and come early if you can. This will be a light-hearted beginner yoga class.
